Elden Ring’s newest DLC, available now on PS4 and PS5, takes the game’s open-world setting and transforms it into a barren wasteland. As you travel through this hinterland, you’ll encounter creatures of all shapes and sizes. One of these is the Ulcerated Tree Spirit, a boss that can give you more than a few headaches if you’re not careful. Here’s everything you need to know about fighting the Ulcerated Tree Spirit in Elden Ring.
Ulcerated Tree Spirit (Boss Guide)
The Ulcerated Tree Spirit is not a conventional boss fight. It takes place in a large forest with various NPCs running around and interacting with each other, so the battle is actually about defending your base from the Ulcerated Tree Spirit’s attacks while also hunting down its minions and killing them to draw its attention.
After you’ve defeated the Ulcerated Tree Spirit, you’ll receive some rare items that can’t be found anywhere else in Elden Ring. These include:
- A unique bow called “The Wild Hunt” (all stats +10; 6% crit chance)
- A unique sword called “The Huntress” (all stats +8; 5% crit chance)
The recommended level for the Ulcerated Tree Spirit is level 30. You will need to be at least this level to fight it, but you can also do it at lower levels if you want a challenge. But if you’re looking for an easy win, I would say 30 is your sweet spot.
If you want to level up faster and get better armor, weapons, and spells in Elden Ring, check out our other articles on how to do so! It’s important that you make sure your equipment fits your character class (warrior vs mage). If not, it can be rather difficult to fight enemies like the ulcerated tree spirit since they are much stronger than regular enemies found throughout Elden Ring’s world map areas such as New Londo Ruins or Fungal Wastes Dungeon Entrances – aka entrances into dungeons which lead deeper into them (and each dungeon has its own unique enemies inside them).
If you’re having trouble finding better armor or weapons then try visiting some of our guides below:
The recommended stats for each character are different. The recommended stats for each weapon type are different. The recommended stats for each character level are different. And lastly, the recommended stats for each weapon level is also unique to themselves.
When you kill the Ulcerated Tree Spirit, you will be rewarded with a piece of gear that can be used to upgrade your character’s stats. It’s also possible that some players may have already acquired this item from playing the beta version of Elden Ring, but if not then it’ll be new for everyone!
You’ll need to defeat this boss before June 9th in order to claim its rewards; otherwise, those rewards will expire along with the game itself on July 2nd.
What level should I be at to face the Ulcerated Tree Spirit?
You will need to be level 30 in order to face the Elden Ring Ulcerated Tree Spirit. This means you’ll have to be at least level 20 in order to start encountering it. If you are not yet level 20, don’t worry—you can still complete quests and earn XP until then!
How to beat the Ulcerated Tree Spirit in Elden Ring
If you want to beat the Ulcerated Tree Spirit, you’ll need to use the right equipment. If you don’t have all of it, get it! You can find some of it in Elden Ring but most of it will be in your inventory.
The right weapon: Your first goal is to find a weapon that does high damage per second (DPS) and heals you for at least half as much. Ideally, this would be a sword or dagger; if not, your best bet is probably an ax or bow—but don’t rule out other weapons like spears and maces just yet! You won’t be able to use any spells until after defeating this boss so make sure that whatever weapon(s) you choose can do enough damage with each hit by itself before adding on any extra abilities from enchantments or attributes onto them later on down the road when they’re still useful for fighting other enemies besides just this one monster alone specifically since there aren’t many other bosses anyway except maybe one called “Death Knight” but defeating him requires using up all five pieces first before fighting him so try not wasting time upgrading stuff prematurely here because otherwise those items might end up being useless against him which would suck because then no one else could use them either unless they had their own copies made fresh off their own backs instead which isn’t possible without spending too much time gathering materials first unless someone else makes theirs beforehand too which means more work than necessary just getting started here so let’s focus instead!”
What do I do when I can’t make it past the boss?
You can get help from other players. You can use a guide. You can watch videos of others playing the game and learn from their experience. You can ask for help from your friends, who have likely played Elden Ring Ulcerated Tree Spirit before you, or even better yet, ask them to play with you!
If all else fails, there is always option number nine: Ask a developer!
Make sure you’re leveled up before fighting the Ulcerated Tree Spirit in Elden Ring.
The Ulcerated Tree Spirit is a tough boss to beat. It’s recommended that you’re at least level 45 before taking on the Ulcerated Tree Spirit, but if you want to speed up your leveling process and get to Elden Ring quickly, there are a few ways of doing this.
First of all, there’s the fast travel system in Elden Ring: The fastest way to move around the world is by using their transport system which will take players from one place to another in an instant. This is recommended for those who need some quick levels! You can also level up by killing enemies and completing objectives like assassinations or finding treasures: Just remember it’ll take time!
What happens if I die in battle?
If you die in battle, the following will happen:
- All of your items will be dropped at the point of your death.
- All XP earned since the last checkpoint will be lost.
- You’ll lose all gold that was on you or in a deposit box.
- Your weapons and armor will be removed from your inventory until you can find them again (if they were not destroyed).
- All potions held by the character that died are gone forever (unless they’re still on their corpse).
The only exception is spells cast by other party members, which can continue without issue if they have enough mana to keep going.
Extra Tips and Tricks
- Weapons: Use the best weapon you can find and use.
- Armor: Use the best armor you can find and use.
- Potions: Use the best options you can find and use.
- Food: Use the best food you can find and use (restores health).
- Skills: Improve your skills as high as possible by using them often in battle or by finding trainers who will help you with them.
- Magic: Seek out magic users to assist with their special powers when battling enemies that are too tough for your own abilities alone to handle (area of effect attacks, healing powers, etc.).
- Enchantments: Enchanting items are another way to improve their effectiveness beyond what they were originally intended for by increasing stats such as attack power and defense against certain types of damage types such as fire or frost damage types.
