In Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga, two of the most important currencies are studs and gold bricks

You are right to assume that studs are a form of currency in Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga. You can spend your studs on unlockable characters and vehicles, but they’re also needed to advance through the game.

Don’t worry if you’re having trouble earning enough studs to complete your missions or fill out your character library; there are plenty of ways to increase your earnings from this valuable resource.

Gold bricks serve a similar function, but unlike studs, which buy goodies for you during gameplay, gold bricks unlock new characters and vehicles for purchase from the shop menu.

How Studs Work

Studs are the currency of Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga, and you need them to unlock new characters, abilities, and chapters. You can earn studs by completing missions or defeating enemies. The number of studs you earn will depend on what character(s) you are using and if the game is set on easy mode (green stud), normal mode (blue stud), or hard mode (red stud).

The best way to earn studs is by doing the following

Studs are the currency in Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga, and they’re important. You’ll spend them on unlocking new characters, buying new vehicles, and more. Here are three ways to earn more of them quickly:

  • Complete story missions and side quests.
  • Break objects in the overworld.
  • Defeat enemies and destroy certain objects on a planet’s map screen.

1. You will receive studs for anything you break in the overworld

When you are exploring the overworld, keep an eye out for anything that can be broken. You will receive studs for anything you break in the overworld, including trees, rocks, walls and even entire buildings. There are a few ways to break things:

  • Hitting them with your lightsaber
  • Shooting them with a blaster
  • Using the Force

2. You will receive studs for every enemy you defeat in combat

The second step to earning millions of studs quickly in Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga is quite simple. You will receive studs for every enemy you defeat in combat. How many studs each enemy gives depends on a few factors like your multipliers and the difficulty of the enemy, but all this means is that you want to fight as many enemies as possible when you’re looking to earn tons of money.

Fighting just one battle isn’t going to get you very far, though. If you’re looking to both earn money and complete the game quickly, your best bet is probably going with a group that’s good in combat, like the Jedi. Luke Skywalker in particular can be quite effective because he has Force powers which allow him to take out large groups of enemies at once with ease.

3. You will receive studs for completing story missions and side quests, plus clearing out all the mini kits, characters, and vehicles from the planet’s map screen

Beyond acquiring studs the old-fashioned way, there are also a few ways to earn them more quickly. Completing story missions and side quests will net you a fair amount of studs. You’ll also earn some for clearing out all the mini kits, characters, and vehicles from each planet’s map screen.

On top of that, collecting mini kits while playing through the game’s story will unlock new playable characters that you can use in later levels. Unlocking these characters can be somewhat time-consuming since they’re normally only available after you’ve completed certain levels or built specific things with your character’s special ability (such as constructing a block with Luke Skywalker or using Chewbacca to rip things apart). However, if you decide to go on a Minikit hunt before doing either of those things, it could save you some time overall.

4. You will receive studs for destroying each special object on a planet’s map screen

Each planet has a different set of special objects, but for example, on Tatooine, you destroy derelict spaceships and Sandcrawlers; on Jakku, you destroy Scout Walkers; on Endor, you destroy speeder bikes; on Hoth, you destroy AT-STs; and so on.

This game contains numerous currencies that you can earn to purchase character abilities, red bricks, and more, but the most important currency is studs. You can earn studs by destroying objects in the levels, opening chests on each planet’s map screen, completing side missions (which gives you a small number of studs), and destroying special objects on each planet’s map screen.

Each planet has a different set of special objects that you’ll need to destroy to collect studs from them. On Tatooine, for example, you will destroy derelict spaceships and Sandcrawlers; on Jakku, you will destroy Scout Walkers; on Endor, you will destroy speeder bikes; on Hoth, you will destroy AT-STs; and so on. For each object that you destroy for the first time in the game per playthrough (you have to complete a level to be able to access the relevant free-roaming area), the game rewards you with thousands of studs.

All of this means that if your main goal is earning as many studs as possible quickly in this game so that you don’t need to spend dozens or maybe even hundreds of hours playing through all of the levels multiple times just to earn enough studs for everything worthwhile in this game’s shop tab—and who would do such a thing?—then being aware of these special objects and their value is very important.

5. You can earn some extra studs by jetpacking up to a platform that’s high above the ground or water and then falling down

You can earn some extra studs by jetpacking up to a platform that’s high above the ground or water and then falling gain because you will gain an increasing multiplier with each jump until you fall into water or land back on solid ground without falling too far (without dying). You can also take advantage of enemies who fly around and then make jumps like this as well if you need some extra studs or want to try this method.

If you happen to have a jetpack, you can earn some extra studs by flying up to a platform that’s high above the ground or water and then falling down again. As you fall, you’ll gain an increasing multiplier with each jump until you fall into water or land back on solid ground without falling too far (without dying). You can also take advantage of any enemies who fly around and then make jumps like this as well if you need some extra studs or want to try this method.

The first time I tried this, I decided to try it at the beginning of the game on Tatooine when Luke Skywalker first gets his jetpack at the start of Chapter 1: The Phantom Menace. This is a great place to start because there’s already an elevated platform where Qui-Gon Jinn is standing, so I simply flew my character up there and jumped down from it. Then I just kept jumping off of that same platform over and over again until my multiplier had reached its maximum value, which was x12 by that point in time. For each jump I made off of it, additional studs were added accordingly based on the value of my multiplier with each jump. But remember that if your multiplier gets too high while jumping repeatedly like this, you will eventually die after falling from certain heights whereupon your multiplier will reset back to its minimum value. So always be careful not to fall too far or else you will lose all your studs!
