Dead Cells is a platformer with roguelike elements. The platform game consists of fast-paced combat, procedurally generated levels, and difficult enemies to defeat. Dead Cells is often considered one of the best games in its genre because it’s difficult to master but not impossible to win. One of the biggest challenges is finding the best weapons, armor, and upgrades on each run-through since they’re randomly generated each time you start over again from scratch if you die during playtime before finishing it all up (or “permadeath”).

Unravel Two is a puzzle platformer and sequel to Unravel. It’s also one of the most unique titles on our list in that it tasks you with completing levels with a second player. The game follows two Yarnys—a red one named Yarny 1 and a blue one named Yarny 2—as they work together to solve puzzles and traverse environments. Each character has its own abilities, like being able to climb up walls or swing from tree branches, but their combined skills are what makes this title so interesting for people who enjoy cooperative games. If you’re looking for something different but still want something familiar enough not to be overwhelming, this is definitely the title for you!

9. Shovel Knight: Treasure Trove

Shovel Knight: Treasure Trove is a platform game that harkens back to the days of 8-bit games. It has a retro feel, but it also has plenty of content and ways to keep you playing for hours.

The gameplay feels very familiar if you’re used to old-school Mario games, where there’s lots of jumping on enemies and collecting items.

However, unlike Mario there are no health bars or lives – if your shovel knight dies he comes back in exactly the same state as when he died (no points lost). This means there’s more room for the challenge as well as freedom when it comes to exploration because nothing is truly off-limits at any point in time.

In addition, with all its secrets and collectibles hidden throughout the levels (and even within them), there’s plenty of replayability once you’ve finished everything once through simply by finding new areas or unlocking new characters with unique abilities. It also includes fun characters like Shovel Knight himself together with MEGA MAN!
