Rocket League is a sports-action game developed and published by Psyonix. Rocket League was initially released for the PlayStation 4 and Microsoft Windows in July 2015, with ports for Xbox One, macOS, and Linux later that year. Rocket League is a vehicular soccer video game in which players compete against one another using rocket-powered vehicles to kick a ball into their opponent’s goal and score points over the course of a match.

This game was inspired by the Supersonic Acrobatic Rocket-Powered Battle-Cars video game released earlier by Psyonix. Still, instead of micro RC cars, it features ordinary-sized vehicles resembling hot rods (racing cars) and monster trucks alongside conventional soccer balls, allowing it to be classified as both an export game and an action sports simulation game, depending on who you ask.
