The micro-blogging platform Twitter has announced the expansion of its business packages with a new feature called Location Spotlight for professional accounts. This was announced on Tuesday evening.

Users with Twitter Professional accounts in the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, and Australia can now use the new feature.

Users can see updated information when they visit a company’s profile. When they tap on the location, they can use a mapping app like Google Maps to get directions to the shop.

With this new feature, businesses can also add their contact details on the profile page which might include a phone number, a link to send a text or an email. This new feature launched by Twitter is similar to Google Maps’ business info cards, which show information such as location, website, operating hours, and contact info about a business organization.

Recall that in 2021, Twitter introduced Professional profiles, allowing businesses and creators to use modules like About to display information, Shop to display products from their catalog, and Newsletter to create newsletters using Revue’s Twitter-owned tool. It opened up the Professional profiles feature to everyone in March.
