He plays Marcello Mastroianni from 8 1/2.
7. Moana 2.
If you’re the kind of person who prefers to read a book before seeing the movie version, then this is one to add to your list. Moana 2 follows an adventurous young girl as she sets out on a journey across the South Pacific with her pet pig and magical fish hook. Along the way, she encounters dangers and monsters and meets her destiny.
The movie itself is based on actual events from Polynesian mythology, so it’s got history behind it too!
6. Free Guy
Free Guy is a 2019 American 3D computer-animated comedy film produced by Walt Disney Animation Studios and is based on the novel “Free Guy” by Daniel H. Wilson. The film was released worldwide on July 26, 2022. It stars Dwayne Johnson as a man named Mike who wakes up in another person’s body every time he falls asleep. He must find out why before it happens again.
The movie has received mixed reviews from critics, with most saying it didn’t live up to its potential or comparing it unfavorably to Big Hero 6 (2014). Others have praised the use of comedy but criticized its animation style and dark tone.
5. The Jungle Book 2
The second installment of The Jungle Book is just as much fun as the first. It’s got everything you’d expect from a Disney movie: animals doing cute things, songs about friendship and family, and a plot that’s simple enough for kids to follow but with enough twists and turns to keep adults entertained.
If you’re not familiar with either film, here’s what happens: Mowgli (a human boy raised by wolves) goes on adventures with Baloo (a bear who teaches him how to live in the jungle), Bagheera (a panther who keeps him safe), Kaa (a snake who hypnotizes him), Shere Khan (the tiger that wants him dead) and King Louie (the orangutan whose monkey minions want Mowgli dead).
4. Turning Red
This movie is about a girl who has a crush on a boy and their relationship. The girl is in love with the boy, but he has a girlfriend, and she has a boyfriend. The two of them start to figure out how they can be together, even though it seems impossible initially. This movie shows how important it is to have courage and trust yourself when it comes to your feelings for someone else!
3. West Side Story
If you haven’t seen the classic musical West Side Story, set in New York City in the 1950s, you’re seriously missing out. It’s one of my all-time favorites and has excellent music and a heartwarming story. The plot involves two rival groups: Puerto Rican immigrants (the Sharks) who live on one side of Manhattan’s West Side and Anglo-Americans (the Jets) who live on the other. The movie is based on an earlier Broadway play by Jerome Robbins and Stephen Sondheim with lyrics by Leonard Bernstein.
The film was nominated for 11 Academy Awards, including Best Picture, but only won two—Best Supporting Actor for George Chakiris as Bernardo (and not for Rita Moreno as Anita), which was shocking because I thought she’d win it too!
2. Toy Story 4
Toy Story 4 is a computer-animated comedy film. It is the fourth installment in the Toy Story series and serves as a sequel to Toy Story 3. The film will be released on June 21, 2022, by Walt Disney Pictures and Pixar Animation Studios. It was directed by Josh Cooley and produced by Pixar Animation Studios.
The film stars Tom Hanks as Woody and Tim Allen as Buzz Lightyear. Joan Cusack, Timothy Dalton, Keegan-Michael Key, and Jordan Peele reprise their roles from previous films, while Keanu Reeves joins the cast to voice Duke Caboom (a human toy who becomes Woody’s new owner).
1. Avatar 2
You can’t miss this one! The first Avatar movie was a huge success, and it’s expected that the second one will be even better.
The release date for Avatar 2 is December 2021, which means you have plenty of time to save up some money for tickets.
James Cameron will direct the film from his script, so expect some fantastic special effects!
These are just a few of the many great Disney movies in 2022. The rest of the list is filled with heartwarming family films that will have you laughing, crying, and cheering as they take you on an adventure. We hope this has given some insight into what’s coming next year!
