Next Friday Full Cast and Their Roles

If you’re a fan of the comedy franchise “Friday,” you know how important it is to get a good cast together.

The sequel, Next Friday, had to live up to the original and have its own unique identity. With this in mind, we got some big stars and lesser-known names who would eventually become big stars. Here’s an overview of the main characters in Next Friday and who played them:

1. Ice Cube as Craig Jones

Ice Cube is an American rapper, actor, and one of the Next Friday cast. He was one of the founding members of the hip-hop group N.W.A.

He has also been a member of the rap-metal band Westside Connection, which he established with Mack 10 and WC.

He released eight solo albums in his career and has made several contributions to other artists’ works.

He has starred in several films that have grossed over $100 million at the box office: Boyz n the Hood, Friday, Barbershop 2: Back in Business (which he also directed), Are We There Yet? The Longshots and Three Kings, among others.

Ice Cube’s first leading role was in Boyz n the Hood (1991). Later he landed roles such as Jeff Portnoy in Universal Pictures’ comedy “Dope,” Sergeant Tidwell in Set It Off opposite Queen Latifah; Kint Calhoun in John Singleton’s Shaft remake; Bulletproof starring Damon Wayans; A Man Apart with Vin Diesel and Delroy Lindo; The Players Club where he played David Diggs who seduces LisaRaye McCoy’s character into dating him even though she knows that he is married to another woman named Monica (Kimberly Elise); XXX: State Of The Union where Ice Cube plays Agent Johnson alongside Samuel L Jackson who plays Agent Augustus Gibbons so they both must go undercover at Cedric “C-Note” Franklin’s birthday party while trying not to blow their cover since C-Note wants them both dead after discovering they were working for Uncle Sam all along; Next Friday which was written by Craig Jones himself back when he used his birth name O’Shea Jackson before performing under his current stage name Ice Cube.

Mike Epps is an American actor, comedian, film producer, and director. He’s best known for his role as Day-Day Jones in “Next Friday.”

Day-Day Jones is the younger brother of Craig Jones, and he is a high school student who is obsessed with girls and money. Mike is one of the Next Friday cast.

3. John Witherspoon as Willie Jones

John Witherspoon’s character, Willie Jones, is an old man who is the owner of a local barbecue restaurant. John is one of the Next Friday cast.

4. Don ‘D.C.’ Curry as Uncle Elroy

D.C. Curry is an American actor and comedian best known for his role as Uncle Elroy in the movie Next Friday.

He was born on March 13, 1964, in Atlanta, Georgia. Curry also appeared in the TV series Martin that starring Martin Lawrence and Tisha Campbell-Martin, which aired from 1992 to 1997 on Fox Broadcasting Company.

In addition to his well-known roles in movies and television shows, Don ‘D.C.’ Curry has been busy building his comedy career over the last 25 years while simultaneously making appearances at comedy clubs across the country with some of America’s most significant comedians, including Kevin Hart, Chris Rock, and Mike Epps among many others. He is one of the Next Friday cast.

5. Jacob Vargas as A.D. (After Death)

Jacob Vargas is well-known for his roles in movies like The Fast and Furious: Tokyo Drift, Love in the Time of Cholera, and American Crime Story.

He has also had minor roles on TV shows such as Shameless and The Mentalist. As A.D., he plays a fictional version of himself who has been trying to find out who killed him for years—and now it seems like he might finally be getting closer to solving that mystery! He is one of the Next Friday cast.

6. Justin Pierce as Roach

Justin Pierce played the role of Roach.

Roach is a friend of Craig’s and a local weed shop owner. He’s also a drug dealer, though he doesn’t seem to be very good at it since he tends to get ripped off by his customers on more than one occasion.

The character Roach was created to give more depth to Day-Day’s character, who otherwise would not have had friends other than Craig and Debo.

It also helps expand upon their relationship as they both spend time hanging out with each other during crucial scenes throughout the movie (notably while they’re eating breakfast at Benny’s Donuts). He is one of the Next Friday cast.

7. Tamala Jones as Donna

Tamala Jones is an American actress best known for her role as Donna in the movie Next Friday, which was released in 2000.

She has also appeared in many TV series such as Bones, The Walking Dead, and The Mentalist.

Her mother, Lillian Randolph, is a famous actress who has been active since the 1950s and has had roles in movies like Roots and Star Wars: A New Hope. Tamala is one of the Next Friday cast.

8. Lobo Sebastian as Roscoe

Lobo Sebastian is an actor who has appeared in many films and TV shows throughout his career. A few of the more notable projects include:

9. Anna Maria Horsford as Mrs. Parker

Anna Maria Horsford is a Jamaican-American actress. She was born in New York City and raised in Jamaica and Miami.

Her parents are from Jamaica, but she also grew up listening to American music. Anna is one of the Next Friday cast.

She has appeared in several films and television series, including:

  • Up Close & Personal (TV series) as Clarissa;
  • The Basketball Diaries (film) as Sister Mary;
  • Tales of Halloween (movie) as the Wife;
  • Steven Universe (TV series) as Pearl;
  • Orange Is the New Black (TV series) as Lolly Whitehill

10. Clifton Powell as Pinky

In Friday Movie, Pinky is a drug dealer and friend of Craig’s, Day-Day’s, and Elroy’s. He also has an association with Roach, who appears in the movie but isn’t the main character.

Powell made his acting debut in 1986’s Bring the Pain, starring Richard Pryor, and won an Emmy Award for Outstanding Guest Actor in a Comedy Series for his role in Martin.

In addition, he had minor roles in popular films like Austin Powers: International Man of Mystery and Any Given Sunday (1999). Clifton is one of the Next Friday cast.

11. Regina King as Peaches

Regina King is an American actress who has won two Emmy Awards and a Golden Globe Award. She is best known for her roles in Southland, American Crime, and If Beale Street Could Talk. King also performs as a singer-songwriter, releasing two albums: The Regina Monologues in 2015 and Make My Heart in 2018.

King’s first acting role was on “Family Matters” at the age of 9, where she played Eddie Winslow’s (played by Darius McCrary) girlfriend, Keesha Franklin. She later went on to star in other sitcoms such as “The Hughleys” (2000–2002) and “The Steve Harvey Show.”

In 2018 she starred alongside Michael B. Jordan in the movie Fahrenheit 451, directed by Ramin Bahrani, which premiered at the Cannes Film Festival that year. Regina is one of the Next Friday cast.

12. Billy Grier as Thurgood Stubbs (Uncredited)

Billy Grier is an actor and comedian best known for his roles in the movies Friday, Next Friday, and Friday After Next.

He also played Thurgood Stubbs in the original Friday movie but was uncredited for his performance.

In addition to his film work, Billy Grier had a few minor roles on television shows such as In Living Color and Martin (where he was billed as “Bilbo Staggs”).

After its debut in 2000, the first Friday became a cult classic with fans of all ages. The movie is a hilarious romp through South Central Los Angeles streets that still feels relevant today.

With so many beloved characters and quotable lines, it’s no wonder that “Friday” has become a classic for kids and adults alike!
